AS we head into July, hopefully bringing with us some more sunny days, we've compiled a list of 10 things to do in and around Carlisle this week. 

Oh, and if you're a music lover, it's a great weekend to dust off the old dancing shoes. 

1. Walk Right Back, The Sands Centre, July 1
All you have to do is dream and... buy a ticket to catch the show that tells the story of the most successful duo of all time - The Everly Brothers. This unique concert-based musical, by the producers of That'll Be The Day, entwines the wonderful, sad yet glorious story of The Everly Brothers. 

2. Once Upon a Planet, Tullie House
A new collaborative exhibition that asks for 'human change, not climate change' is being displayed at Tullie House; accompanying the exhibition full of street murals and interactive artworks is a jam-packed events schedule including workshops, film screenings and eco-crafts all with a focus on climate change, extinction and sustainability. 

3. A Quest at Tribe, Bitt's Park, July 2
If you can kick it, then get yourself down to Tribe Carlisle as they will be spinning the best of funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz, electro from their purpose-built shipping containers. 

4. Let's Greek 
Carlisle's newest restaurant opened up on June 22 if you're in the mood for some delectable souvlaki - and who knows, it may just be your new favourite city restaurant. 

5. Carlisle Farmer's Market, Carlisle Cathedral, July 2 
From 9am until 2pm, the market, held in the grounds of Carlisle Cathedral, will have a great range of stalls, selling everything from bread, meat and cheese to sweet treats and candles - perfect for finding some local Cumbrian produce. 

6. GBH, The Brickyard, July 2 
It’s been a few years since the pioneers of early English street punk, GBH played in Carlisle, and they're back for a night of raucous punk rock. 

7. Jazz on a Summer's Evening, St James' Church,  July 2 
A delightful concert of jazz music featuring Will Todd's "Mass in Blu" and a selection of popular folk songs arranged by Bob Chilcott.

8. C2C Crochet Class, The Belah Centre, July 1 
A workshop suitable for people with a little crochet skills - if you know chain stitch and treble crochet stitch, you can do this class! 

9. Sounds from a room, The Brickyard, July 1  
A earworming night of music showcasing bands who hone their sound in the renowned Ray Gun/Jiggy Beast practice room, simply known as 'The Room' - with the night to feature Jiggy Beast, Dela Grave, Glass Gardens, Ray-Gun Hoodlums and Mirror Trash. 

10. Grab a pizza! 
Carlisle has a wealth on offer when it comes to Neapolitan delights, why not visit Gianni's, Love Pizza, Casa Romana and The Muddled Olive to name a small few for the perfect weekend feast.
