POLICE are appealing for further infomation after a fatal crash in Flimby - with a particular focus on bus passengers who were travelling in the area that night.

Detectives are investigating the fatal collision that occurred in Flimby on Sunday, May 15.

Officers are looking to identify and speak to the passengers and a security guard who were travelling on the service bus between Maryport and Workington on Saturday May 14 between 10:30 and 11pm.

Officers were contacted at 12.08am on May 15 with a report of a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians on the A596.

Bethanie Clark, 31, of Lowca and David Muir, 43, of Parton sadly died as a result of the collision.

A 30-year-old woman from west Cumbria was arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. She remains under investigation.
