A COMMUNTY order with a 40-hour unpaid work requirement has been imposed on a Carlisle man who has admitted an harassment offence.
Craig James Robinson, 47, of Mill Race View, committed the offence between February 23 and March 3, the city’s Rickergate court heard. The offence consisted of him repeated contacting his former partner over a week.
He did this by making “numerous calls” and sending texts, despite being warned to stop, the court was told.
Magistrates said that the community order also includes a requirement to complete a “Building Better Relationships” course and to take part in up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity as required by the Probation Service.
The defendant is also subject to a restraining order. This prohibits any direct or indirect contact with his former partner, other than through a legally approved third party. Robinson must pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
