This weeks nostalgia focuses on the annual AAD Gala held at Blackpool Opera House, many Cumbrian dance schools get involved each year and showcase their talent.
The show is built up of a collaboration of different dance schools from all over the country that come together as part of the AAD to create a spectacular gala performance. Several Cumbria dance schools enter each year and create a number of different performances.
The age range for contestants spans from as young as 3 years old up to senior dancers usually around 25 years old. The show is a whole variety of performances and dance styles. From acrobatics, lyrical, contempory, street, tap, theres something for everyone to enjoy.
Each dance school has the chance to show off their pupils’ performance abilities and choreographers imaginative skills.
