TWO businesses in Carlisle have been named on a government list of tax defaulters.
On June 15, HMRC published the details of those businesses given financial penalties for 'failing to comply with tax obligations or deliberately filing errors in tax returns'.
HMRC may publish information about a deliberate tax defaulter where an investigation has been carried out and the taxpayer has been charged one or more penalties for deliberate defaults and the penalties involve tax of more than £25,000.
