A LONGTOWN holiday park is expanding its premises to include the development of fourteen new luxury holiday homes.

Camelot Holiday Park will be launching the introduction of The Paddocks, fully-fitted and decorated holiday homes, which represents an investment of around £100,000.

The fourteen holiday getaways will be priced from £29,995 and will mean that three of the UK’s best known holiday home manufacturers now feature at the park – Victory, Atlas and ABI.

The development is in response to the continuing strength of the country's 'staycation' market - which remains 'vibrant' despite pandemic-era restrictions lifting and foreign travel opening up.

Park owner, William Stewart, said they are ‘delighted’ to launch this new phase at the park.

"The Paddocks is a peaceful enclave which will be beautifully landscaped to create the perfect setting for a holiday home," he said.

"Buyers can enjoy their properties any time they want, without the hassle of wondering if they will get booked into a park at a time to suit.

"Many self catering properties are already fully booked out, such has been the demand.

"The UK staycation sector is still very vibrant.

"We’re attracting buyers from north and south of the border. It’s a huge boost to the local Cumbrian economy which relies heavily on tourism.

"We’d urge interested parties to get in touch if they want to secure a prime pitch at The Paddocks. Groundworks are underway now and we look forward to handing over the first holiday homes in the next few weeks.

"It should be a very vibrant summer here.

"It’s been fantastic to welcome back our owners to the park after the pandemic,” he said.
