A CUMBRIAN born rugby league star is tipped to be the latest addition to the Love Island villa.
It is understood that Barrow born Castleford Tigers rugby player Jacques O’Neill, 23, may be entering the show tomorrow night, with his club issuing a strategically timed statement to coincide with the end of the episode.
O'Neill played junior rugby league for Askam ARLFC before being signed to the Castleford Tigers academy.
A tweet from Castleford bosses read: 'Castleford Tigers can confirm that the Club has agreed to release Jacques O’Neill from his contract to allow him to pursue another opportunity. Best of luck @Jacques9oneill!'
In a teaser for Sunday's episode, contestant Gemma Owen could be seen saying: "Oh my god- that's my ex-boyfriend!' as the new mystery man entered the villa, causing social media to erupt in a fire storm- suggesting the new arrival was Jacques.
The show will return tomorrow night Sunday, June 12 at 9pm.
