A FAMILY'S beloved pet was also killed in a tragic house fire which claimed the lives of a father and daughter, it has been revealed.
Ged, the family's black labrador, went missing after the fire in the early hours of Sunday morning, May 22.
The blaze, at Toll Bar Houses on the outskirts of Distington, killed father and daughter Archie and Mia Scott.
Mackenzie Leder set up a team to help search for the labrador, however after four days of searching, the tragic news came that Ged had ran back into the house and his body was found.
In a Facebook post, Mackenzie said: "Unfortunately I've just had confirmation from the family that Ged's body has sadly been recovered from the house. He went back in to try save his family. We're heartbroken to say the least.
"We would like to thank everyone for all their efforts in trying to locate Ged over the past four days.
"It's appreciated more than you know."
