Three people have been arrested following an incident of burglary of a Carlisle McDonald's last night (May 24).
Police received reports of the burglary at the McDonald's on London Road at around 9:30pm.
Two men and a woman remain in police custody.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Police were contacted at around 9:30pm yesterday (May 24) to the report of burglary at McDonalds on London Road, Carlisle.
"A 32-year-old man from Whitehaven was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, theft from a shop and driving whilst disqualified.
"A 46-year-old woman from Whitehaven was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, theft from a shop and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit.
"A 39-year-old man from Cleator Moor was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, theft from a shop, failing to provide specimen for analysis nad criminal damage.
"All three remain in police custody," they said.
