A DRIVING ban has been handed to a Penrith motorist who has admitted failing to give police a blood specimen for analysis.
Callum Stigant, 31, originally denied the allegation.
But during a hearing at Carlisle’s Rickergate Magistrates’ Court, the defendant, of Hyde Park, Edenhall, Penrith, changed his plea to guilty.
It happened in Penrith on December 30 last year when the defendant was suspected of an offence and failed to provide a blood specimen with no reasonable excuse.
District Judge John Temperley imposed a 40-month ban and 80 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order. Stigant must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
