ASPATRIA Town Council have shared further details on the upcoming Gala Day.
The free event for all the family is set to take place at the town’s rugby club on Saturday, June 11 from 2-6pm.
Earlier this year, the Gala Committee have decided that they are going to run the event but without the parade.
The reason why there will be no parade this summer is due to the number of volunteers needed to close the roads and organise on the day, with those needed being far more than who the committee have available.
To make up for there being no parade, the group have arranged lots of activities, entertainment and live music as well as an element of fancy dress for all of those who will miss that part of Gala Day.
Fletcher’s Fun Fair, Air Bounce Cumbria and Keswick Climbing Wall will host a variety of activities to keep guests entertained during the afternoon.
There will also be performances from Take 2 Male Duo, Diva’s School of Dance and Starlight Roadshow.
Food stalls and other exhibits will be situated throughout the ground on the day.
Organiser are encouraging fancy dress costumes to be won during the event, with trophies to be awarded for the best dressed attendees!
