A spring fair showcasing independent craft makers and artists is being held this weekend.

The event on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22, will feature artisan businesses from across Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway, with free entry and free parking for visitors at Netherby Hall, near Longtown.

The event will be held in the venue’s Oak Hall and Orangery from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.

Food and drink stalls will also be available, and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the gardens and grounds of the historic Hall.

Alasdair Knight, Director of Operations at Netherby Hall, said: "We’re looking forward to hosting this celebration of local arts and crafts businesses over the weekend.

"Visitors can browse and shop at a variety of stalls, enjoy good food and explore the Netherby Hall’s Walled Garden and grounds, which are now in full bloom for Spring."

Netherby Hall’s first-ever Spring Fair follows the success of its annual Christmas Craft Fair, which has been held at the Hall for the past few years.

A multi-million-pound investment by its owners has seen the creation of nine luxury self-catering holiday apartments and cottages at the Hall, and the restoration of its Victorian Walled Garden.
