A LEADING law firm throughout the north-west has been ranked the third best legal adviser for merger and acquisitions (M&A).
Napthens, which has an office in Kendal, have earned the ranking for their work in 2022's Quarter 1, according to a new report by Experian Market IQ.
The news follows an active quarter for the firm’s 28-strong corporate team, as it advised on eight completed transactions in the first three months of the year.

Major deals include sale of long-standing client Connect 2 Cleanrooms Limited to New York-based private equity firm, ASGARD Partners & Co., purchase of Cumbria-based Wheelbase cycles by JD Sports, and the sale of The Regent Hotel, on the shores of Lake Windermere, as well as the 19-room Ambleside Lake House on Waterhead Bay, to the Inn Collection group.
Richard Robinson, partner at Napthens, said: "What this ranking makes clear, is that the increased performance of our team goes beyond the general increased volume of M&A activity over the past two years.
"We continue to advise on large complex deals, as our clients appreciate our relationship-driven approach, with partner-level oversight given on every transaction we are involved with," he said.
The high-profile ranking follows a record year for the department in 2021, whereby its team advised on more than 50 transactions valued at more than £600m over the course of just 12 months.
