A CARLISLE man has denied stealing electrical goods from Carlisle’s recycling centre at Bousteads Grassing.

Kelvin Dixon, of Boundary Road, Currock, is accused of a “theft by finding” on December 21 last year, allegedly stealing electrical goods of unknown value which belonged to Carlisle City Council.

He also denies a second charge of being “found in enclosed premises" – an offence under the 1824 Vagrancy Act. Magistrates adjourned the case until July 7 and granted the defendant unconditional bail.

Dixon was represented by defence lawyer John Smith.
