A MOTORIST from Carlisle who was caught driving while marginally over the limit for cannabis has been banned.
Danny Etheridge, 31, was caught on February 18 as he drove a Ford Focus on Eastern Way In Carlisle, the city’s Rickergate court heard. At the time, he had 2.1mct of the breakdown product in his system.
The legal limit for driving is 2mcg.
Etheridge, of Dalegarth Avenue, Harraby, pleaded guilty. Magistrates imposed the obligatory minimum one-year ban. They also fined the defendant £346, with £85 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
