Carlisle City are hosting an evening with history-making former Manchester United and Northern Ireland star Norman Whiteside next week.
The football legend will share stories from his career at a special end-of-season dinner.
Tickets are still available for the event, which is being held in Foxy’s Restaurant at Carlisle United’s Brunton Park on Saturday, May 21.
Whiteside, now 57, broke the record for the youngest player to play in the World Cup finals when he appeared for Northern Ireland at the 1982 tournament in Spain aged 17.
He also became the youngest player to score in an FA Cup final when he hit the winner for Manchester United against Brighton & Hove Albion in 1983.
Whiteside went on to play for Everton, as well as in a second World Cup in Mexico in 1986.
The evening will be compered by Howard Nicholson. Tickets are £25 – call 07739478547.
Carlisle City, meanwhile, have confirmed their ticket prices for next season following 2021/22’s memorable Northern League Division Two title victory.
Matchday admission prices will be £5 for adults and £3 concessions (senior citizens and under-16s), with season tickets soon available at £60 (adults) and £40 (concessions), which will allow entry for all league games and pre-season friendlies.
