THE Source in Carlisle have announced there will be another night of gigs happening this weekend. 

The venue will be welcoming some popular musical acts from across the UK for audiences to come along and enjoy. 

On Saturday, May 14 Desert Clouds, Gramma Vedetta and Reptilians will be performing.

This will be followed by a gig headlined by European act The Klittens on Sunday, May 15. 

Poppy Rowan, an organiser at The Source, said: "It's exciting to have two massive gigs in two days at The Source.

"It's a great opportunity to see some local bands of course, but also, both nights give oppotunities to see different bands from outside Cumbria.

"It's going to be an incredible showcase of extremely talented musicians across many different genres."

Door open at 7:30pm and the venue will be open until late. Advance tickets are avaialble on Skiddle for £5 plus the booking fee. Tickets are also available on the door for £7. 

Desert Clouds are a London-based psychedelic and grunge based band who have recently signed with Madrone Records. Their new album 'Planexit' launched on March 26 and is available on Spotify and Bandcamp. 

Gramma Vedetta are described as being: "Sailing through the storm of the south, with the purpose to bring to the Island an unheard blend of heavy rock and sci-fi stories, projected on a canvas made of heavy riffs on loud amps. 

"The hard rock outfit fuses a no-nonsense attitude with a passion for sci-fi and collossal riffs."

Reptilians are a Cumbrian band described as having "a fuzzed-out euphoric sound with shimmering grunge."

A spokesperson said: "They are the sum total of three mispent youths listening to equal parts Britpop and art-rock, Reptilians share a love of catchy riffs, gallows humour and atmospherics, creating a sonic palette which has won them the attention and airtime of the BBC."

The Source have also recently hosted a fundraiser event for Ukraine with bands from Carlisle performing. They managed to raise hundreds for the British Red Cross Appeal.
