A NORTH Cumbrian motorist has been given an 18-month ban after he pleaded guilty to a drink driving offence.
Derek Holliday, 55, from Sebergham, committed the offence on April 23 when he was caught driving on the B5305 at Sebergham, south east of Wigton, Carlisle’s Rickergate court heard.
At the time, he had 64mcg of alcohol in every 100mls of breath. The legal limit for driving is 35mcg.
The defendant was driving a Hyundai car.

Magistrates fined the defendant £200 and ordered him to pay £85 with a £34 victim surcharge.
He was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to two further offences: driving in a way that was not permitted by his licence and having no insurance.
Magistrates imposed no separate penaties for those offences.
