A mountain rescue team has saved a man who fell and injured his head.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) were called out on May 3 at 4:53 pm to Grains Gill in Borrowdale.
A man was on his descent down the Grains Gill path after walking over Glaramara and Allen Crags when he took a tumble and fell sustaining a minor head injury.
A spokesperson from Keswick MRT described the accident: "Some passing walkers ran down to Seathwaite to alert Mountain Rescue.
"With the help from other passers by the man’s head was bandaged, he was then able to walk down towards Seathwaite under his own steam.
"A small team from Keswick attended and assessed the man’s injury before accompanying the man the short distance to Seathwaite.
"The man was advised to visit Keswick hospital as stitches may be required."
The mission took one hour and 37 minutes.
