A WHITEHAVEN man has pleaded guilty to stealing electricity and producing the class B drug cannabis.
Christopher Potts, 23, admitted five offences when he appeared before Carlisle’s Rickergate court. The offences the defendant admitted were all committed on May 6 in Whitehaven. They were as follows:
- Possessing the class B drug amphetamine.
- Possessing the class B drug cannabis.
- Possessing the class A drug cocaine.
- And producing cannabis.
- Dishonestly using without authority a quantity of electricity of unknown value on May 6, 2022.
Potts, of South Row, Whitehaven, was granted bail and will return to court for sentence on May 11. In the meantime, he must observe a daily 7pm to 7am curfew, which will be electronically monitored.
The Probation Service will prepare background reports. The sentencing hearing was transferred to Workington Magistrates’ Court.
