Police are appealing for information after a man on a bike was seen to set fire to a BMW on May 8.
The case of arson took place in the area of Newlaithes Avenue, Carlisle.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Police are investigating an incident of arson that occurred on the May 8 at approximately 10:25pm in the area of Newlaithes Avenue, Carlisle.
"During the incident, a BMW has been set alight by an unknown male suspect wearing all black on a pedal cycle.
"Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it, quoting incident number 252 of 8th May 2022. You can also phone on 101.
"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111," they said.
