Carlisle’s Green Room at the West Walls Theatre will be setting up the bright lights for the production of Liverpudlian playwright, Willy Russel’s, ‘One For The Road’ – a working class depiction featuring Dennis, on the eve of his 40th birthday, wanting to escape the constraints of suburbia.

The play will see the return of director, Jason Munn, who directed Alan Bennett’s ‘Office Suite’ in 2019 at the Green Room and is scheduled from the May 16 to the May 21 from 7.30pm.

Jason Munn is returning to West Walls Theatre after having graduated from the University of Cumbria with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting, following his delayed graduation in 2022.

Jason looks to bring all the training and skills he has learned to the production.

“This is a wonderful production with a magnificent cast who have gelled almost immediately," he said.

"Of the four cast members I have only worked with two previously, the newcomers are wonderful and there is a magnificent bond between all four.

"This shows the truth of the writing and creates a fantastic atmosphere for the audience to enjoy," Jason said.
