A PENRITH man who is accused of assaulting three police officers on May 5 last year has seen his case sent to Carlisle Crown Court.
John Bidgood, 48, of Holyoake Terrace, Penrith, has yet to enter any pleas to the three allegations that he faces. Prosecutors say he committed those offences in Penrith against three police constables.
Magistrates sitting at Carlisle’s Rickergate court sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on May 27. The defendant was granted bail.
