A CARLISLE man linked to the seizure of cocaine worth an estimated £500,000 has admitted two charges of possessing the class A drug with intent to supply.
Aaron Giacopazzi, 35, was charged after a police investigation which involved officers stopping him as he travelled in a car at Lismore Place, Carlisle, on February 16, and later searching his house on March 31.
The operation led to the recovery of drugs with a potential street value of £500,000, according to the prosecution.
The defendant, of Crossways, Harraby, Carlisle, appeared before Carlisle Crown Court via a prison video link, when he entered guilty pleas to both charges of possessing the cocaine with intent supply.
Recorder Paul Hodgkinson set the date of Giacopazzi’s sentence hearing as May 27 and remanded him in custody until that day. Background reports will be prepared on the defendant by the Probation Service before sentence is passed.
No further details of the defendant’s offending were outlined in court.
