A SIXTY-four-year-old Carlisle man has been found not guilty of four alleged sex offences following a trial at the city's crown court.
Paul Ashton, of Abbotsford Drive, had pleaded not guilty to the four allegations he faced: one alleged rape and an attempted rape; and two allegations of sexual assault. All of the allegations related to one woman.
After hearing evidence, the jury cleared the defendant of all four charges.
