A MAN was in court after sending a threatening voice message to a woman.
John Michael Maclaurin, 50, of The Ferns, Egremont, pleaded guilty to sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threatening message.
Workington Magistrates' Court heard that Maclaurin sent a voice message which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to a named woman.
The offence took place in Egremont on April 20 last year.
Maclaurin was given a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
