A YOUNG Carlisle woman has been convicted of stealing goods worth more than £1,000 from shops at Orton Grange south of the city.
Holly Amber Cannar, 24, who was not in court for her trial at the city’s Rickergate Magistrates’ Court, was convicted of two offences: stealing produce worth £530 from Cranstons at Orton Grange; and stealing goods worth £562 from Orton Grange Gift Shop.
The defendant committed both offences on December 14 last year, the court heard. Cannar, of Newlaithes Avenue, Morton, Carlisle, was found guilty of both allegations.
The defendant will be sentenced on a date which is yet to be agreed.
