A WORKINGTON man has pleaded guilty to two charges of using threatening an abusive behaviour in the town.
Emanuel Panaite, 29, committed both offences on January 16. The first charge stated that he used such behaviour “with intent to cause” a named male to fear that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him.
The second charge he admitted stated that his threatening behaviour caused harassment, alarm and distress.
After hearing an outline of the offending, magistrates sitting at Workington’s Ramsay Brow court imposed a six month conditional discharge. The defendant, of Topaz Terrace, Salterbeck, must pay £200 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
A third allegation – denied by the defendant – that he had used threatening behaviour towards a female on the same occasion, was dismissed by the court.
