A Cumbrian town is to benefit from a new live music venue.

In preparation for delivering live music events to its programme of events, Brampton Community Centre has developed branding, under which they shall be promoted.

Under the so-called 'Live@ Union Lane' banner, quality music from across the genres will be staged in the centre on a regular basis starting with the first concert on Friday, May 20.

Centre manager James Burke said he is keen to welcome these events into the varied programme the centre offers to the local community and feels sure that this new venture is one that will be well supported.

He said: "Having secured our first concert with the booking of renowned jazz singer Jo Harrop we began to look at how best to promote live music to our potential audiences and we came up with the idea to develop a separate brand to enable the public to differentiate these events from the other activities at the centre and this was how 'Live@ Union Lane' came into being.”

Jo Harrop, together with her quartet of fine musicians, will play Live@ Union Lane on May 20 with doors opening at 7:00 pm and tickets £10. are available from the Community Centre or Post Office in person, or by clicking here.
