Copeland & Allerdale Occupational & Social Centres (COSC) have thanked Copeland Disability Forum for a large donation.
The centre based in Cleator Moor helps disabled people in and around the area.
A spokesperson from COSC said: "COSC would like to say a very big thank you to Copeland disability forum for the very generous donation of £6000.
"It is very much appreciated and will be put to good use to benefit our members. It is sad to see such a great organisation that has contributed so much to our local area close.
"Thank you for all the years you have fought for people with disabilities on every level. Your dedication and enthusiasm were second to none. We at COSC have had a very long relationship with you and wish you all the very best, you will be greatly missed."
