Motorists who flout road safety have been put on notice that the Police ANPR van is out and about today.
In a further clampdown on speeding motorists and promotion of road safety awareness the Automatic Number Plate Recognition ANPR van will be watching traffic around the A and B road network including Cockermouth, Brigham, Bridgefoot, Distington, Whitehaven, Seascale and the A595 between Sellafield and Penrith.
Motorists are advised to "please drive safely and carefully".
Cumbria Police tweeted at 9.01am today: "Today our Road Safety Camera vans will be operating in Cockermouth, Brigham, Bridgefoot, Distington, West of Whitehaven, Seascale, the A595 between Sellafield area and the Penrith area. Please drive safely and carefully."
