TWO first-team Carlisle Utd players have been spoken to by police after an 'incident' in the city centre.
In a statement, the club tweeted: "Two first-team players were spoken to by police following an incident in the city centre on Saturday evening.
"They returned home shortly after and no further action was taken.
"The club is reviewing the incident with those involved and any appropriate action under the club’s code of conduct will be taken, as required.
"We will make no other comment at this stage."
Believed to be linked, a video is circulating on social media which appears to show an altercation outside the Walkabout bar on Botchergate which turns physical.
The footage is chaotic and features a large group of people, including what appears to be security staff, as well as bystanders.
When approached, police said they would not comment on the incident at this time.
Carlisle Utd suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Swindon yesterday, putting them into the League Two relegation zone.
