A WEST Cumbrian woman has been sentenced after she admitted sending a "false message" in order to cause annoyance of inconvenience.
Toni Chisholm, 31, of Burnmoor Avenue, Whitehaven, pleaded guilty to the offence, which she committed on Christmas Eve last year, Workington Magistrates' Court heard.
Court records do not specify what the false message was or how it was sent. After hearing the details, magistrates imposed a 12-month community order, with a one-month 7pm to 7am curfew.
The defendant must also pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge. Curfews are usually monitored with an electronic tag.
