A WORKINGTON motorist has been given an 18-month ban because he failed when required to give police a breath specimen for analysis.
Chui Fat Choy, 64, of Main Road, High Harrington, committed the offence on Boxing Day last year, Workington's Magistrates' Court heard. As well as the ban, he was told that he must complete 50 hours of unpaid work in the community as punishment.
He must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
The charge stated that the defendant was required to provide the breath specimen to police officers in Workington who at the time suspected him of an offence.
