A REPEAT offender from Carlisle has been jailed for his latest crime spree.
Dale Thomas Graham, 38, who appeared at the city's Rickergate court, pleaded guilty to the following offences:
* Stealing a pedal cycle of unknown value on January 8.
* Stealing a second bike belonging to another person on the same day.
* Dishonestly handling a third bike, also on January 8.
* Damaging cell monitoring equipment belonging to Cumbria police on January 9.
* And breaching a community order which was imposed by magistrates after he stole goods worth £1,223 from Boots in English Street in Carlisle city centre.
In total the defendant, of Charlotte Street, Carlisle, was jailed for ten weeks. Magistrates said that the offences deserved jail because Graham - represented by defence lawyer John Smith - had a poor criminal record and this was a "spate of offending."
