A WHITEHAVEN woman who was caught drink driving has been given a fine and a 37-month ban.
Kayleigh Louise Norman, 30, of Cambridge Road, admitted committing the offence on November 18 last year when she appeared before Working Magistrates' Court. She was driving a Seat Leon on Main Street, Distington, the court heard.
A breath-test showed she had 67mcg of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit for driving is 35mcg.
The defendant was fined £120 and told she must also pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge. She was offered the drink driver rehabilitation course, which if completed by March 28 next year will reduce her ban by 37 weeks.
Her guilty plea was taken into account.
