A RECRUITMENT call has been launched by police for the crime and incident evaluator role.

Cumbria Police are inviting applications for the evaluator role in the Crime Management Support Unit Team.

The role provides a central quality assurance and audit function for both crimes and incidents.

Cumbria Police said that the successful candidate will assist in improving force performance by providing training and targeting areas of risk in crime and incident recording and crime outcomes.

Cumbria Constabulary said that the postholder's main duties also include: "Monitor ‘live’ and finished incident logs to ensure compliance with the National Crime Recording Standard and the National Standard for Incident Recording."

They will also "Develop designated aspects of customer care and quality assurance through the use of victim call backs."

The role is an agile working position, based at Cumbria Police headquarters in Penrith as well as at home.

The successful candidate will be working 37 hours and the salary is between £26,865 and £28,725.

Applications are open until January 28.
