A THIRTY-three-year-old Carlisle sex offender is to be sentenced by a crown court judge after he admitted three counts of flouting a court order designed to monitor his internet use.
Michael Lawrence Graham, of Monks Close, Carlisle, pleaded guilty to the following three offences when he appeared before the city's Rickergate court:
* Using a Samsung phone capable of connecting to the internet which did not have the capacity to retain its history to a police officer and refusing to show such history to an officer when requested. This was prohibited by a Sexual Offences Prevention Order made at Carlisle Crown Court in March, 2015.
* Using a device - a PS Vita - capable connecting to the internet without it having a capacity to retain its browsing history. This again was prevented by his court order.
* And breaching the Sexual Offender Registration requirement to supply police with the name he was using on his Facebook page.
The first two offences occurred between December 7 last year and January 7 this year, while the last offence was on January 7. Magistrates sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a sentencing hearing on February 7.
The defendant has previously been described as a "high-risk" sex offender.
