1) Tullie Art Group, Tullie House and Museum, Friday 7th – The museum restart their laid-back art sessions, where like-minded people work under the guidance of an experienced artist.

2) The 355, Vue Botchergate, from Friday 7th – Director of the X-Men film series and Mr and Mrs Smith, Simon Kinberg’s latest release sees Jessica Chastain team up with Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz and Diane Kruger to stop a terrorist organization from starting World War III.

3) Carlisle United v Bradford City, Saturday 8th – Keith Millen’s men are currently on a two-match winning streak in League Two and welcome 12th placed Bradford to Brunton Park, with a win helping the Blues widen the gap at the bottom of the table.

4) 90’s Night, Tribe Carlisle, Saturday 8th - The ultimate 90's night arrives in the city. Entry is free, but you must request your favourite 90's Dance Anthem. Street food and beverages will also be available.

5) Try Yoga Taster Class, The Yoga Rooms, Saturday 8th - This class is an introduction to yoga. Your yoga instructor Ruth will guide you through a gentle yoga flow and answer any of your questions.

6) Nomadland, Brampton Community Centre, Saturday 8th – The Brampton Film Club will screen last year’s Academy Award for Best Picture winner. Frances McDormand stars as a sixty-something lady who becomes a nomad after losing everything during the Great Recession.

7) Talkin Tarn Country Park – although we are scheduled to have some wintry weather this weekend, the estate offers fantastic views, with a 1.3 mile circular path that is ideal for a gentle stroll.

8) Walby Farm Park – The all-weather attraction reopened at the start of the week, with plenty of fun activities for the family.

9) Messy Church, St Cuthbert’s Church, Saturday 8th – The church allows families to get together for craft activities, a bible themed story, a short time for prayer, and to share a lunch

10) The English Heritage Podcast: Mary, Queen of Scots – Free to listen on Soundcloud, the recent episode of the podcast focuses on Mary’s 19 years as a prisoner in Carlisle Castle.
