A TRIBUTE band will perform classics from two of this century’s well-loved acts in Whitehaven this week.

The Kopycat Killers and The Sub-Arctic Monkeys will perform in the town’s Solway Hall on Friday night, with classic songs Mr Brightside, Do I Wanna Know and Human all set to be played by the band.

Discussing the evening, singer Stuart Rook said: “We’ve been doing the Kopycat Killers for nearly three years ago. During lockdown we couldn’t play and had already learned 35 Killers songs, performing the longest sets anyone has played with their catalogue.

“I was writing songs and found myself doing more Arctic Monkeys-like songs with my bandmate Luke and we thought why not try learning their songs during the time we had available to see if it worked?”

Tickets for the event cost £15 and are available through Ticketsource.
