H&H Land & Estates have been celebrating success for two members of staff who have both secured passes in the CAAV membership examinations.

Katie Proctor, Chartered Surveyor and Leanne Graves, Graduate Surveyor, based in the H&H Land & Estates Carlisle office, have been tirelessly preparing for the two-day exam and fortunately their hard work has paid off.

Katie says of her achievement, “It’s such a relief to have achieved the pass I have been working towards. I’ve learnt a lot through preparing and revising for the examination and I am now looking forward to being able to put my new knowledge into practice with confidence.”

The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) is a specialist professional body representing, qualifying, and briefing almost 3,000 members practising in a diverse range of agricultural and rural work throughout the UK.

By passing the Association’s annual written, practical, and oral examinations, carried out over two days, Katie and Leanne have now qualified for Fellowship of the CAAV, entitling them to use the letters FAAV after their name.

“‘I still can’t believe I have passed, it’s such a relief!” Says Leanne, “I am very happy to be part of such a renowned organisation in the CAAV. I am so grateful for the help and guidance of my colleagues who very kindly organised on-farm practical sessions and several question sessions to aid my preparation. The different branch tutorials and Northumbria and Cumbria Self Help Group sessions were also incredibly useful and so thanks must go out to everybody involved in running those events.’

Thomas Armstrong, Director and Chartered Surveyor for H&H Land & Estates commented on the success; “It’s great to see members of our team striving to improve, these professional exams are enormously challenging, and a lot of hard work goes in to seeing these great results. We are proud at H&H to be able to support any of our staff who are willing to put in the time.

“With Leanne and Katie now having the FAAV mark we hope it will give our clients extra reassurance in knowing H&H Land & Estates are employing the best ilk of character and are continuously looking to improve and update our knowledge base.”

Katie concluded “I would like to thank all my H&H colleagues for all their support, we couldn’t have done it without them!”
