COPELAND Council can offer safety for those suffering homelessness or domestic abuse this Christmas.
The specialist team there wants people to come forward as early as possible to access support if they might be at risk.
In the last year, the Housing team helped 195 people, at risk of becoming homeless, to find new accommodation, or supported them to stay in their own home.
Copeland's Portfolio Holder for Housing, Councillor Andy Pratt, said: "While most of us are lucky enough to enjoy a safe Christmas, for some it can trigger the risk of relationship breakdowns, abuse and, ultimately, having to leave their homes.
"We want people to know that we are here for them in emergencies, right through the Christmas period and always."
