THE family of a Silloth teenager have paid tribute to their 'beautiful daughter' after she died following a crash near Keswick.
Lana Maddison, 19, from Silloth, passed away on Friday, December 3 at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Her death followed injuries sustained in a crash on the A591, near Keswick, on Sunday November 28.
Ms Maddison was a passenger in a black Ford Fiesta, which collided with a tree between Crosthwaite roundabout and Lyzzick Hall at approximately 8:40pm.
Ms Maddison’s family said: “Our family are absolutely devastated at the loss of our beautiful daughter.”
Ms Maddison’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers and have requested privacy at this time.
An investigation remains ongoing into the collision.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, particularly those who may have been travelling westbound around the time of the crash.
