A TWO-month curfew has been imposed on a 52-year-old Carlisle man after he pleaded guilty to an offence of harassment without violence.
The city's Rickergate court heard that Paul Ford, of Milbourne Street, committed the offence against a woman between August 6 and August 25.
The court record states that he did this by "repeatedly contacting her with messages and calls, requesting her friendship on Facebook, and sending further messages which were unwanted."
After hearing a description of the offence and the effect on the victim, magistrates imposed the eight week 7pm to 7am curfew. They also ruled that the defendant must pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
There was no restraining order imposed.
