THE Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) was awarded for its fleet of electric vehicles at this week’s GreenFleet Awards.
The authority won Public Sector Car Fleet of the Year 2021 at the awards and said it was ‘delighted’ to be honoured.
A LDNPA spokesman said: “Our new fleet of electric vehicles for staff has already delivered a 9.5 tonne carbon dioxide equivalent saving, and our improved network of electric charging points can also be used by the public at various locations.”
