A NORTHERN charity has set up a website and invited people to make tributes to those they have lost.

The Great North Air Ambulance, which provides critical first response support, has started their Light Up The Sky 2021 campaign.

They said: "A great way to deal with grief is to share happy memories about the person you are missing, either with friends and family, online or by writing something down.

"As Christmas approaches, you can create an online tribute to remember someone special and leave a dedication or light a candle for them on our Light Up The Sky memory page."

In the last year, donations made to the GNAAS in memory of a loved one totalled more than £420,000.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. They are not NHS-funded.
