INCIDENT: A police cordon is in place in Holywell Crescent in Carlisle following a serious crash
Police are currently dealing with a serious crash.
The crash happened on Holywell Crescent, near Melbourne Park, in Carlisle.
Officers were called at about 3pm today (December 2).
Officers are currently in the area and a cordon is in place at Holywell Crescent and into Borland Avenue.
The public is asked to avoid the area while officers conduct their investigations, but dozens of people have gathered at the scene, with some crying.
A police spokesperson said: "We are currently dealing with a serious collision in the area of Melbourne Park in Carlisle.
"Officers are currently in the area and a cordon is in place.
"The public are asked to avoid the area whilst officers conduct their investigations."
