A WORKINGTON man has been given an eight-week curfew for flouting a criminal behaviour order by going into a Workington shop from which he was banned.
Sean McAvoy, 45, committed the offence on November 12, the town's magistrates' court heard.
The order he was in breach of specified that he must not any any shop in the town which is a member of the local Shopwatch scheme.
The defendant's community order specifies that the curfew will be electronically monitored and will confine the defendant to his home in Milburn Street, Workington between 7pm and 7am each day. The defendant must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
McAvoy admitted the breach. His order has been in place since December, 2017.
