A NEW 'pink salon' has been opened in Workington by a teenage businesswoman, with the aim of being the most 'Instagramable' in town .

Business woman, Adele Tinkler, 19, opened The Lash Lounge by Adele salon in Roper Street in the town last month.

The salon has allowed Adele to provided space for two other self-employed beauticians from the area, offering a wide variety of treatments.

Adele said: "I specialise in Russian volume eyelash extensions and training and have two other self-employed artists that work alongside me in the salon.

"Melissa, of All Dolled Up, was trained by me in Russian volume lash extensions and is now an amazing full time lash and brow tech in the salon with a huge client base. Then there’s Emily, of Makeup by Emily, that gets everyone glam for their busy weekends."

The salon has been a lifelong dream for Adele, who has even managed to achieve this goal just shy of her 20th birthday.

She said: "I’ve always wanted to open my own pink salon and training academy since I was little and I’m so grateful that I’ve managed to work for it and do it all just one month before my 20th birthday.

" It does feel surreal sometimes because I never thought I’d be able to do it so soon.

"The location of the salon is perfect there’s so many people that come past going into town or even just going into the gym and we’ve been able to meet so many new lovely faces. It’s so nice seeing people leave with a smile on their faces because they feel amazing.

"When I envisioned the salon in my head I wanted it as pink and as Instagramable as possible and that’s what I did. All the girls that come in absolutely love it and I always get comments on how pink and girly it is."

The beautician is confident about expanding her business in the future.

She said: "My plans for the future of the business is just to carry on growing and empowering all the girls in the area. My eyelash extension training courses have went absolutely crazy since opening the salon."
