A POPULAR Scottish band are returning to Carlisle next year.
The Proclaimers will play The Sands Centre on Wednesday, October 12.
Edinburgh twins Craig and Charlie Reid came to attention with their debut album, This is The Story, and 1987 single Letter from America, which reached No. 3 in the United Kingdom.
They are also well known for the 1988 single I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).
The duo have sold more than 500 million records worldwide.
They have had Gold and Platinum singles and albums in UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The Proclaimers' gig at The Sands Centre is part of a 35-date UK and Ireland tour which is taking place between October and December.
They are also heading into the studio next year to record their 12th album.
Tickets are £37 plus a booking fee.
They went on sale at 10am today on The Sands Centre website.
